Audience Gasps as Joy Behar Says East Palestine Trump Voters Got What They Deserved – ‘That’s Who You Voted For’

Joy Behar was devastated to learn on Thursday that Donald Trump had traveled to Ohio to support the people of East Palestine, Ohio. Behar could barely contain her contempt for the majority-republican town, which the Biden administration left high and dry for almost three weeks. Trump donated thirteen pallets of water and thousands of gallons of cleaning supplies to the struggling community.

“I don’t know why they would ever vote for him,” Behar told her audience. “For somebody who, by the way, he placed someone with deep ties to the chemical industry in charge of the EPA’s chemical safety office.”

Behar echoed the same criticisms made by Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg. Despite taking ten days to acknowledge the derailment and almost three weeks to travel to the scene, Buttigieg has attempted to punt blame to Donald Trump.

Behar agreed, implying that East Palestine Trump voters got what they deserved.

“That’s who you voted for in that district. Donald Trump, who reduces all safety.”

Behar’s audience gasped at her vile comments, but co-host Sunny Hostin joined in the finger-wagging.

“I think this is Donald Trump’s fault.”

Behar went on to call Trump’s visit to East Palestine a “photo-op.”

Behar’s comments revealed her contempt for the small republican town, as other commentators noted,

“Joy Behar says the residents of East Palestine got what they deserved because they voted for Trump,” said Charlie Kirk of Turning Point USA. He compared Behar’s to comments Don Lemon made about Nikki Haley being “past her prime.”

“For the record, this is 1000x worse than anything Don Lemon said. Will she be kicked off her show and forced to undergo sensitivity training?”

Radio host Buck Sexton wrote, “Joy Behar implies that the people of East Palestine voted for Trump, so they got what they deserve. The psychotic contempt of idiotic elites for Trump *voters* has corroded brains and souls.”

“Joy Behar admits why Democrats aren’t motivated to help East Palestine – they are 70% Republican.”

Tucker Carlson criticized Behar’s comments about the Biden administration’s failed response in a segment. “We mock people like [Joy Behar] as stupid, but underneath it all is hate. That’s what that is. It’s hate. She hates her fellow Americans who live in East Palestine and in places like it.”

The East Palestine derailment has contaminated over 15,000 pounds of soil and over 1.1 million gallons of water. Around 5,000 residents were forced to evacuate their homes due to the disaster. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) initially refused resources to help in the wake of the disaster.

The position of the Biden administration did not change until after former president Trump moved to visit the forgotten town. Transportation Secretary Buttigieg did not arrive at the scene until after Trump and his campaign met with residents and provided relief. Donald Trump won the small city by roughly 40 points over Biden in the 2020 election.
